Patreon Page Overhaul - An Update

Hello everyone! It’s big update time!

I’m rearranging my Patreon page to work better with what I’m currently able to provide as perks. After a lot of thought, I’ve chosen to simplify things.

Moving forward, I’ll be only offering two tiers:

Why the change?

Since the beginning of the year, I’ve been able to consistently keep up with four comic updates a week (two on Webtoon and two everywhere else), which I’ve been striving to achieve for years. Being able to maintain these more frequent updates is important to me, as it makes it easier to steadily grow readership, which leads to more work opportunities and larger projects.

However, the new schedule keeps me extremely busy, and I realized I have to make some changes in order to keep my sanity.

Guilt Spiral

It’s been harder and harder to maintain certain Patreon perks each month, especially the ones placed at the higher tier levels. I didn’t want to risk damaging our relationship or your trust in me because of my inability to keep my promises. All of you have been understanding about this in the past, but it still weighs heavily on my mind, so I decided to make these changes.

Simplicity and Flexibility

Ultimately, I’d like Patreon to help fund the projects I’m already working on (the comics I post publicly). Because my work goals have shifted so dramatically this year, I realized the perks I was offering were no longer in line with what I wanted to do and were creating a lot of extra stress and guilt.

That’s why I wanted to lump all of the patron perks into just two tiers. I feel that even during extremely busy months if I’m unable to provide one or two perks in a tier, there will still be plenty of value to patrons pledging at that level.

When does this change take effect?

The tiers have already been updated on the page and are available for you to select if you’d like. You’ll notice the new perks taking effect as early as next week, once my schedule returns back to normal.

Thank you

I appreciate your support so much. This was a hard call to make because I felt I would be letting you all down. However, I’m hoping this update will bring about a lot of positive changes and ease a bit of the worry I was feeling about this page. Thanks for sticking with me through everything.
