Designing a T-Rex baddy
Added 2019-09-19 05:18:21 +0000 UTCFor the upcoming art piece I really needed to get my new sexy T-Rex's design down. Which meant first trying to get him to look like a T-Rex. I've drawn tyrannosaur characters a couple of times, but this time I really wanted to study the facial structure.
Then I had to put him into character. I knew right off the bat I wanted him to be a feathered T-Rex ( :) ). I actually ended up really liking that short fuzzy bearded base at the bottom of the first page, so started combining and building on top of that. Added big, BIG eyebrows, and then ended up with that last look there.
What do you think? He's looking more like the head honcho, and less of a minion who failed and is being "punished" now. Might have to change the scenario somewhat, hm~
