What are eggs?

These eggs are scattered all across the galaxy, one each from their respective species. In our demo they will be a collectable, but will not do anything for the time being.

So what are eggs planned to be used for in the future?

There is a mechanic in our game where Kinoko can scan other aliens, from bugs, animals and to sentient beings! Melodia expects Kinoko to complete the whole codex, which is where these eggs will come into play. We plan to add a nursery in Starlight City, where the player can incubate the eggs and once they've been hatched, Kinoko can scan them to fill in his codex. Some species won't be found around the galaxy which is why incubating these eggs will be important to unlock them. We do plan for the nursery to give extra rewards as well.

We don't know if this will stick and it all depends how the process goes, but we hope we'll be able to reach that goal!
