There something about Mac’s voice, his lyrics.. idk why it felt like he was another one of us… his death, although I never met him, impacted me like if I did.. because I could hear his plead in the songs… it hurts looking back

2025-03-07 15:29:01 +0000 UTCI hate to run the Sad Girl Hour back but after a LONG break from listening to this album (for obvious reasons it's hard for any longtime fan of Mac Miller and all of his other side projects), I still feel like 2009 was his way of like sending himself off.... which is definitely why it remains in my top 2 along with "Come Back to Earth" bc I feel like that was the last of like sober Mac that we got as he was drifting off.. idk man this album never gets easier to listen to no matter how long its been. What a great talent and what a shame.

Cool little detail for the next album, Circles, the tracks 4 -6 contain a little message - 4. Good News 5. I Can See 6. Everybody. Its a little bittersweet, but cool nonetheless.
