I tried it and it didn't work as well, but I found a solution and wanted to share just incase anybody would have the same need; it's a destructive one I guess since it's UV based. I unwraped it and then projected from view and it stayed in place finally.

You would scale it around in the mapping node! Sorry for the late response

You would need to change the texture, coordinate over to object and scale it around like that
