What's Happening
What's the big story? The situation for Ukrainian forces in the Avdiivka area of operation has deteriorated much faster than any of our analysts expected because we underestimated the Kremlin's willingness to throw their ground forces into fortified defenses across unfavorable terrain.
What's the second story? Russian forces made advances in the northern and southern flanks of Bakhmut.
Editor's Note: We're changing up the format of the podcast a little bit tomorrow. Non-critical fighting in places like Marinka and Dibrova will be a quick summary.
