You see, due to the cracks in the planet caused by a near-doomsday event thousands of years ago, cracks in the planet's crust
have been leaking magical energy that was left behind. This RAW spiria energy contains immense power,
and is found to be capable of altering just about anything. BUT, without anyone to command it for a long period of time it was left to run
through the land, the sky, the sea, everything. This caused dramatic and improbable changes to occur,
such as the very land lifting itself into the sky; or the sun no longer being completely visible due to a potent smog. Some areas becoming
arid wastelands of nothingness. Some lands freezing completely.
Each area appears to have its own localized pollution, many nations speculate that usage of magic near the cracks is what amplifies the effects
on a continent. Though this is unproven and untested (Because nobody wants to mess with the already damaged planet.)
