🔥 Fire Character Design Concepts - Pass 1

I'm done with merch and custom drawings and I was asking myself "Well what do I do now?" and I thought back on this old personal project of mine from 2022 of characters based on elements. The idea originally came from Elementalist Lux and how interesting it would be to personify certain elements. I originally wanted to start out with my favorite designs of the 7 I made about 3 years ago, but I thought that the best place to start would be with the 4 base elements, so let me present to you; Fire!

I drew her face/body based on what I drew in 2022 (I included the drawing in the closeup of design A. Her face and body may change depending on which design I choose to proceed with!) One thing set with her design is that I want her body to be fit.

Notes and thoughts behind the specific designs:

🔥A
- This is my original vision from 2022 and completely based off the original sketch
- Her ponytail is made out of fire and behaves like fire would. It gives the design an interesting silhouette by the head
- Outfit inspired by Amanda Young from the first Saw movie
- This design is very casual and feels "too boring" to be with a fire theme

🔥B
- This is a more "badass" vision of her
- Has burn scars over her left side, telling that she can be reckless and get herself hurt
- I roughly kept her hairstyle the same, except I changed the front of it
- Still rather casual

🔥C
- Outfit is inspired by firefighters. The fire fighting theme makes her seem more careful and controlling
- I just drew some random hair and now it just makes me think of Alice Cullen from Twilight

🔥D
- I wanted to explore the idea of this being set in some sort of fantasy universe and the bandages from design C made me think of a monk
- Explored longer hair for her, building her silhouette in a more interesting direction
- I originally wanted to give her a braid, but I think the thin "rat tail" hairstyle suits her better here

🔥E
- I started to think about fire dragons and that I could base them off a culture, and my mind landed on Chinese culture and their dragons
- Turned her buns into fire like concept A & B

These are all super rough concepts so far! Feedback is very welcome, I would love to hear what parts you like and how they can be improved. Maybe even combine ideas I have here!
I plan on refining the design after this step and add more details and storytelling to this character's design.
