Important Announcement

LoL, Ryan is always a voyeur.

So, I have been silent for a long time (Two weeks more or less), because some stuff happened. I didn't want to talk about it until I had come to a decision… so please, bear with me.

First of, as you may or may not know, February is my worst working month, since my birthday is 11th, my deceased grandmas are 14 and 15, my cousin is again 14, my uncle is in the same day as me (11), my mother is 18 and my father is 21. I am working on a surprise party for them, so it has been a little troublesome.

Anyway, the update:

I am already integrating the text, the art(battlers and charset) and the gameplay. It’s been specially hard because there is different dialogue depending on what route you took… the pirates will know you on one route and the other no… it messes up everything, really.

I think I am at 50% of the update, but I will have to re do it with the other part of the text and I don’t know how much I can utilize. I think this makes me a 30% maybe…

IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT THE FUTURE OF THE GAME

I don’t know if they are bad news or not.

You see, after a lot of thought and talking with my artist, I decided to Re-do ALL of Rinet’s Quest artwork.

“Re-do? Re-do how?”

As you guys may or may not know, I choose the art of the game at a time I didn’t really have much in mind about that kind of game I wanted to make. Sure, I wanted to make an H-game, but at the same time, I wanted it to feel real… so, at least in the facesets, you can see how the style gradually changes from cartoonish to something a little more… huh… “Serious”, I guess.

I have been bothered by the OVER-sexualization of some characters… I don’t think it’s cool for me to advocate against the industry (as I did before) and keep GIANT TITS AND ASS on the game. This seriously make me look like an hypocrite.

I mean, I know the game will still be porn and everyone likes hot women (: P ), but in terms of art at least, the way that it’s draw right now, makes it difficult to draw “different” woman bodies( Even different “hot” women).

“But it’s good enough for me/us! Do you really have to?”

I am afraid so. I am not going to give excuses, I want to do it and I feel like the time is now. You see, It’s been a long time since I actually wanted to re-do the art.

Every time I pay for an HCG, it feels like I am patching the wall from the house that I am planning on demolishing. I am losing money.

Yes. As you know, I also wanted to re-do the prologue, so what’s the point on re-doing it if I am planning on “re-re doing” it later?

As for my artist, she has evolved and she believes she can do better than the actual art style… and really, I am all for doing the best we can. I mean, look at the Garm artwork, that’s the one which actually made me think more about this.

But why I think it’s bad news?

Well, this didn’t come from out of nowhere. My artist will have a big project during the next months and the Rinets Quest would have to be… put on hold.

“WHAT?”

She will not be able to draw for me for more or less six months. I spend some time thinking of what I should do. I pondered if I should block the page and suspend the pledges until my artist was able to focus on the project, but then again…

The pledges are for the people who want to help the project. The money I make will be used for the new HCGs and the project.

I CAN keep moving it forward, without the H-scenes, at least until she gets back. I can still write the scenes or let a marker like “H-scene here”, and we push through, because I don’t want to stop the game unless I have to…and because IF I do stop it, well, it will just take more time for things to get done.

“I paid for an H-scene, what about me?”

You will have it… this is just a delay.

So guys… this is a pain in the ass, bu this is the plan I guess:

Keep working until we can have out HCGS again… and they will be new and beautiful.

PS: I will post this month, a new Diana’s artwork and I want to know your opinions then.
