Hey everyone.
1> New things:
You must have noticed this weird star with skills there. Well, there are some stuff about the skills that always bothered me... I like to give players a wide variability on how they want to play and what skills they can choose to learn. Having said that, the "five skills" that can only be learned with a LCW (Lingering Crystalized Will) bothered me, because even if it makes sense plot-wise, eventually you would be able to learn them all and that would leave Zack and Diana's build almost identical in terms of Rinet powers.
BUT, I couldn't just throw new skills, because I really don't like games that throw in an insane amount. The player ends up forgetting what half of them do...So, what should I do? What would present the different play styles without adding too much stuff?
I found the answer yesterday.
I present you the new idea that "Diana" had, now that she started to mess around with the Break and Fix.
The next tier that you will be able to learn, while not dependent on another LCW, can only be learned by "mixing" two warp effects that you know.
"Do we have to manually-". No, you don't have to do anything. When you learn, let's say, warping attack and force barrier, it will automatically unlock "Shielded Charge".
So, you will probably find three or four LCW with Diana, making it impossible for you to have all the skills.
"But Stalker, what happens when we have learned all this skills?"
Eventually you will be able to get a new class with new skills, but the RINET part of your skills, at least, is this.
I was pondering if I should tell you wat each of them do... But I think it's more fun to find out playing the game. : D
2> The update.
Excuses for delay: My TV (I use a Tv and a monitor to work) had some... Light problem. Some part was darker than the other so I had to take it to the shop.
The next HCGs are not done yet, I told my artist to rush the goblin ones ahead, so I could make the 0.10A, so now she went back to those. She said it will be done on friday at most.
3> Stuff:
Actually, this is relatively important. I think the level up point system is a little, huh, "rudimentary". Sincerely, I want to delete it and put a normal "growth/level up" on Diana.
All the customisation will be done using JP only.
"But then, Diana's status will be the same on all players, no?"
Actually no. I am planning on change it when she changes classes, eventually. So, there still will be different builds for different players.
So, do you think I should change it? I am asking because messing around with attributes can potentially mess things up in save games.
Please, your opinions are important.
PS: I will probably be silent and keep working until I am able to release the next update. Until then I will keep looking at comments and messages though.
PS2: Uh... I woke up, looked at my patreon page and had 99+ notifications. I got a little surprised and when I looked, there no new notification at all. Anyone know anything about what the hell is that?
