Added 2025-01-21 17:10:54 +0000 UTCMy grandfather painted an oil portrait of my grandmother. It was a classic portrait with a pearl earring and black hair braided into a plait. Against her dark hair, that earring resonated even more strongly.
The last time I saw it was two decades ago.
Now I take photographs with braids whenever I see a model with long hair. :)
Are braided hair symbolic to you? What do you feel?
I think in me, it speaks to a nostalgia for childhood.
