2023-01-06 06:58:14 +0000 UTCI confirm-Yes the capes had to be bought at Six Flags Great Adventure theme park. Outside of Halloween season, it was hard to find enough capes. In addition, although we had an agreement with DC to use licensed DC merch as set dressing, we needed to get everything else approved for this party like the ice sculpture, etc. i don’t recall if DC required the capes to be officially licensed to prevent them from looking terrible, or if we couldn’t get enough that caused the theme park shopping trip though. Outside of Halloween season, I think those capes were cheaper than we could get on amazon or wherever though. I recall sitting with the costume designer, Melissa, and thinking of ways to walk the line to make the guys’ costumes funny without insulting DC. I don’t recall if the Raggedy Ann wig was my idea or Melissa’s, but she deserves so much praise for creating and sewing those costumes.

2023-01-03 20:24:18 +0000 UTCNever disappoints! Also surprised that they didn’t mention the hidden Ming at the door — or the congratulatory petting Mike gave Ming’s head when he walked in….
