TESD Tidbits: Ep. 11

One of the highest charting songs about Satan was Devil Inside by INXS, went to #2 on the Billboard Top 100 in 1988. Weirdly enough, Joel Schumacher made the video? Hmm.

Maybe if you cut out some gizmos and gadgets, don’t buy posters for your room and don’t go to keggers you can afford to become a patron member.

Kinda seems like tidbits should have been regular tell em Steve Dave episodes while they are filming instead of posting nothing. It's a great podcast about things that were originally on the tesd episodes, but cut for various reasons. So wouldn't that make them better for the free tesd format? Seems weird that the free tesd listeners are missing out on this content because of a pay wall and have nothing to listen to when this relevant stuff sits here.

Slayer: Altar of Sacrifice, Metal Storm/Face the Slayer Megadeth: The Conjuring, Metallica: Jump In The Fire You could just put any Slayer album and be fine. Those are what I believe to be the most common of Satanic songs of the 80s.

I'm really starting to question Walt's supposed "metal cred." Granted, I know he's musically trapped in the 80s. But still, he could have brought up Twisted Sister's "Burn In Hell" or literally ANYTHING by Venom. It's early 90s, but even Megadeth's "Go To Hell" would have been a great choice, too! Eh, it was still an entertaining pod, and as others have expressed, needs to be expanded into its own entity.

WHY DIDN'T ANYONE PICK BLACK SABBATH'S "BLACK SABBATH"??? That song is about a literal encounter of the devil, and it's the first heavy metal song of all time! The devils genre started with that song! I would've made that song my #1

Watching Game show network wondering.....is Walt up watching the same thing yelling at the screen like me to these foam face idiots!

They definitely need to find a permanent spot for a full length Purveyorz, Pozerz and Playliztz episode every month, so damn good.

Purveyors, Posers, and Playlists should really get its own show. It’s definitely that good. And the record store clerk must be a permanent part of the show. His personality and voice are perfect for this.

Using Walt's "logic," Europe's "The Final Countdown" must be the greatest rock song in recorded history.

Walt proves once again that is is trapped in a puritanical past and has no taste in music whatsoever. But if I tell him that, I'm the delusional one. BWahahhahah!

Best part of Purveyors, Posers & Playlists is where Walt gets shutdown by not only Rudy but Tim as well. I didn't need to see video to imagine Walt's face when Rudy disagreed with him. Both Zepplin and Sabbath liberally take from the Blues. Not sure how he thinks the Blues isn't integral in influencing Rock & Roll and also Metal.

Which Manson cover did they recommend? "These Eyes" and another one got mentioned. -- It's "undone", but neither come up. They have to be talking about "Cry Little Sister"
