That moment was meant to show how that job opportunity means everything to Chris and how (in contrast) he’s sitting beside morons who were likely raised with silver spoons who couldn’t care less about that opportunity. While he’s killing himself to stand out, they’re probably spending their days lounging around.

Most people in those situations mistake it as though they’re being targeted. In reality, you are being tested on your ability to withstand adversity. Once you start complaining, they tick you off. Chris did everything he was asked with a smile on his face even if he killed him deep down.

It had a very profound meaning about fatherhood and overcoming insecurities and fear. I really enjoyed it at the theater. More people should watch it.......Will Smith is such an amazing actor...starting from knowing nothing learning in The Fresh Prince of Bel Air to now...Incredible! Great reaction guys!
