The beauty of the show is all about the writing and developing the storylines and how they all interconnect, mostly without the characters even realizing. They write it so everything connects at the end. Other shows just rely on cliffhangers and mindless action.

He just worked as a runner for him for a few days to get enough money for school clothes. Chris actually came to Michael, gave him a bunch of money and promised to take care of his situation if he needed anything. And Michael knows Chris as the dude that can make anyone disappear without a trace.
