I didn’t like the fact that they made it seem like they got him into football but he was already playing when they met him. Then they took the money from the movie for their family. It definitely changed my opinion of the family & tainted the movie for me.

They negotiated the movie contract and made sure they & their birth children got a lump sum and plus 2.5% of all future proceeds. But they had him on a different agreement giving Fox his life story rights without any compensation. It’s insane. And of course they say “oh we love him”…meanwhile They never adopted him, but they lied to him and the world that they did. What they had him sign was to be conservators & have rights to make deals in his name. Before he ever met the Tuohy family, he’d spent years at that school, playing 3 sports, living with foster families & fellow students. They came at the end. They didn’t teach even him football.
