They really should have rewatched S1. I’m pretty sure they thought the characters from S1 were coming back even though most of them were dead. I had to watch a bunch of reactions (from people who remembered S1 better) to understand a lot of what happened in S2

In exchange the pink soldiers told him what the next games were so he had an advantage. They got caught and the front man killed them and hung them for everyone to see.
