2024-10-28 22:33:30 +0000 UTCI suggest Drumline (in keeping with the HBCU tone). The first HBCU movie (made by Spike Lee) was School Daze. It was HUGE in the 80s & has some faces you’ll recognize. Step Sisters on Netflix is a funny take on a sorority step team. (Tasha from Power & is in it) It was better than I thought it would be.

I was about to graduate and when I tell you that theater was packed with a lot of girls from the neighborhood and beyond just because Chris Brown was in it, it was no joke. However, they lost their minds when he died at the beginning. Also, this was at a time when a lot of dance movies were coming out left and right (Honey, You got served, step up, and Stomp the yard)
