The studio (Weinstein) stole their movie and continued to make them without their involvement. They’re still working on suing for compensation. Blair Witch Project - The woods scene with the snot. Final Destination - Getting hit by the car at the end. The Exorcist- When Cindy mentioned puking green slime and using the crucifix. The Titanic - The commercial where he says “I’m the king of the world.” The Sixth Sense- When Shorty says “I see dead people.” There’s more movies + references to commercials and current events from back then.
