Omar knows about Bubs because in the last episode, when Bubs was walking through the projects to buy drugs with the undercover cop, they stopped by the police van and talked. Remember? When they walked away, Omar and his crew were sitting across the street in the van. Omar said, "Well now!" because he peeped that Bubs was working with the police. Why was Omar and his crew sitting out there? For the same reason they were sitting outside the stash house before they robbed it. They were doing surveillance. They never go into the situation blind.
