One of the greatest failures of storytelling is getting us all to believe men and women can't be friends. It's either strangers or flirting. Kitty liked Bobby but by the end he still wanted rogue. It wasn't some grand plan to cheat on his girlfriend. He just did something nice for his friend

2025-02-19 16:21:49 +0000 UTCgrowing up (before i read the comics and saw what the actual dark phoenix story was meant to be) this was my favorite of the trilogy. it was the one i probably watched the most. is the story convoluted? sure. does it draw from huuuge and separate comics in a way that doesn’t give either story enough depth or credit? oh absolutely. but idk i guess sometimes you just like movies lmao idk what it is about it. Sir Ian Mckellen’s performance is a knockout as always. the phoenix is one of my fav characters and i think Famke Janssen is an incredible jean grey. i think looking back now on the og trilogy, X2 is probably the best but i do think if you remove this movie from its comic source material it’s solid and enjoyable to me. And yes absolutely you gotta finish the franchise because it uptick in quality is kinda crazy😭 the performancessss of our two leads in First Class blew me away and let me know, alright this franchise is in good hands

2025-02-16 09:48:10 +0000 UTCugh i remember when First Class came out it was sooo goood😭 but if you look at it like a prequel to the first x-men movie, the timeline absolutely falls apart. i think i saw it as more of a relaunch of the franchise. i mean just all the x-men movies chronology is wonky and either way you look view it there are plot errors😂 i actually just looked it up and when they made first class it was made to be a soft relaunch, and then i guess they changed their minds in DOFP and retconned it into a prequel lmao how confusing is that😭😭

2025-02-11 21:09:33 +0000 UTCYes!!! If you are open to suggestions, Everything Everywhere All at Once is the best movie I’ve ever seen, it’s a multiverse movie. Also Knives Out (like a mystery comedy) and Crazy Rich Asians (romantic comedy) are super fun too!

Also I‘m not sure if you would be interested in something like this but in Germany there is a Netflix show called Kleo which is about a Stasi spy that is trying to get revenge for being put in prison by the Stasi. It is very silly but a lot of fun. (At least for German humour) there is even a dubbed version. Love your content 🫶🏼
