I don't wanna spoil the reaction but the highlight for me is definitely the end of episode 4. So well acted and the music was incredible. Loving where the season is heading. 2024-10-31 02:48:42 +0000 UTCI think you may have misunderstood what I was saying. Yes, without it she couldn’t have escaped. What I’m saying is, the music only gave her the opportunity to escape. It was Max’s choice to go to her friends which ultimately is her character arc. She needed to learn to depend on the people that love her for help rather than going it alone. Like think about it… if they played the music and she just sat there and did nothing, she would have died, so no the music did not save her, she saved herself.

I'm no lawyer but I'm pretty sure police can not question a minor without a parent or guardian. Also El didn't have to answer their questions or even speak to them. They can however take her into custody until a parent can be reached. My only problem story wise is that nobody called the police after Jason assaulted the friend of Eddie's? Not that Chief Dumb and Officer Dumber would have done anything! I disagree, Kate Rush totally saved Max! She couldn't have broken from Vecna's trance with out it.

2024-10-28 23:01:22 +0000 UTCYou are the only reactor I have seen understand that music does not guarantee survival against Vecna, it only gives someone an anchor point to the real world. Elsewhere the shootout in the house is one continuous shot and it just might be my favorite bit of camera work in the series. Also, El is not in the 4th episode and yet it is among the series best, that is a testament to the cast and crew and how much they care about the quality of the show.

Of course you knew that - perhaps the name “Tom” was in your head because Robin had mentioned Tom Cruise just a few minutes earlier in the episode!

And yes, it has been said a lot, but Max's journey through this season may be one of the best depictions of mental health/depression/suicidality I've ever seen on screen. With Vecna looming over her, she has to tune him out, remember the truth, and run, with every bit of strength she has. It's so powerful. Also, fun fact: Dacre Montgomery and Sadie Sink filmed their scene on two continents! Due to Covid lockdowns, Montgomery was in Australia and Sink was in the US and Shawn Levy directed Montgomery via Zoom. I love the twist, too, that Robert Englund, renowned Horror Bad Guy, turns out to, in fact, *not* be a villain. Even with parts of his sequence as a reference to Silence of the Lambs, too, he's *not* evil. He's just another victim and does, in fact, help them. Such clever writing!

When I click on that, it opens the video in my safari browser, and from there I can hit play and turn off my phone’s auto rotation lock to turn the video sideways. Hope this works for you!🙂

Death is so final and there's no chance for the relationship to get better and she can grieve that missed chance, but Billy was abusive and now he's not there and it's okay for her to feel relieved about that

Just the strength of friendship and love and also bringing back something Lucas said about finding something she loved, I think that really helped her to beat Vecna in that moment, just finding memories that meant so much to her and seeing her friends trying to bring her back made her want to wake up and come back. I just love how this show symbolises how good friends are always there for you and love you beyond anything, and that love can reach you at your worst and most vulnerable points in life. One of the best shows ever. Will always stick with me, even when it eventually ends. It's made me appreciate the little things in life that little bit more.
