So many laughs in these two episodes! The writing just keeps getting better and better and I love how petty Ross is in this season. Enjoy :)

The delivery of, “YOU THREW MY SANDWICH AWAY!!! MY SANDWICH?!?!” So good! 🤣

Teej

It's just hilarious how many times you get there right before a character speaks the line. Hail, Pivot King!

Caryl C

Sad that they cut out the scene where the couch gets destroyed.

Sure, it would be great if Chandler already knew how healthy relationships work, but that's really hard if you don't have that modelled growing up and it doesn't seem like he did. I think it is a huge testament to how much he loves Monica that he is able to stick out these situations and learn instead of just running away.

Sarah

Pivot is iconic! PIVOT, MY BEST FRIEND AND MY SISTER, YOU THREW MY SANDWICH AWAY, FINE BY ME+ I'LL STILL HAVE YOUR LETTER, Such good lines but I think without David delivery they wouldn't be the same. He just did such a great work and I love him for it. My fave when it comes to timing and comedy deliver. Also, there are a lot more iconic phrases coming

Heavily second HIMYM 💗

For me, it’s not only the “pivot,” it’s also Chandler’s, “Shut up! Shut up! Shut uuuup” that just kills me. So good!

Teej

The ”PIVOT” scene is such a classic. It’s impossible to move furniture without saying it. I find it so interesting that the same team of writers wrote Ross and Rachel to be completely dysfunctional (and arguably toxic) were able to write Chandler and Monica to be such a healthy relationship. I think Monica is the most mature Friend, she is able to guide Chandler through the whole process without lashing out at him (she gets upset, but she doesn’t mistreat him). There are so many scenes where I’ve thought ”this would have led to a fight between Rachel and Ross”, where Monica just took it in her stride. Like after their weekend away that went awry, the whole ”work laugh” thing when they went to dinner with Chandler’s boss, when he didn’t like her massages… Even the crazy proposal, she didn’t create any drama, just calmly talked him through it. I also love how Chandler is so devoted to her, and unlike Ross he doesn’t seem to feel jealous or threatened. He trusts her. I get that a lot of Ross’ issues in that regard was because of Carol leaving him, and having been in love with Rachel from afar for like a decade, but still. I’m totally team Mondler over team Rossel (seriously, what would their shipper name have been?) Btw, do you have any plans on watching ”How I Met Your Mother” once you’ve reached the end of ”Friends”? I would be so excited for that. HIMYM is like a spiritual successor, but truth be told I like it better than ”Friends”, even though it has some definite problems.

Tingeling

Same here! Courtney Cox delivered it so perfectly.

I actually am with Ross about the money thing for Howard…there’s no way someone should have expected a new resident to do that lol. I LOVED your reactions to the proposal and to “PIVOT”…what an absolute blast. 😂

Heather Geer

I laughed when it was just Ross and Rachel trying to move he count and you said "you have to pivot" because I knew what was coming lol. Also the scene at the end when he's talking to the sales lady is one of my favorite closing scenes from the whole series. Her delivery for "did you cut this couch in half?" is sooo good lol

Kitty Underwood

"Still, cheap shhott" 😅

GreenAlice in Wonderland

Those were posted on Patreon last week! May not be out on YouTube yet though if I’m thinking right. Hope this helps!

When you said "pivot"! 😂😂 But, honestly, you will probably never move a couch without at least thinking "pivot!" for the rest of your life!!

J. J.

What? No way you said “pivot” before Ross did. For a brief moment, I was thinking that you must have seen the episode or a partial clip, but I realize now that it’s just a crazy coincidence. And of course the way he says “pivot” has become iconic in popular culture.

TB

Where’s the reaction to 13&14?

adelaide larson

My parents watched this show when I was growing up, so my sister and I watched it with them. The pivot scene is one of the most well-known. Still cracks me up to this day. Although, now watching it as an adult, it frustrates me a little because I can see how they could’ve gotten that couch up there. 😆 Also, came here to say the same thing. The pivot bloopers are hilarious and worth the watch.

Teej

I can't believe you said "pivot" before they did!!! PIVOT is probably the widest known friends reference and rewatching it this time, I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. There are plenty of moments that make me chuckle but there are a few bits that make me absolutely lose it and this is one of them. There's a great gag coming up at some point that is so well-crafted because it literally takes the whole episode to set-up and then the punch line lands so perfectly. I can't wait to see if it tickles you as much as it does me.

Katie Niekamp

PIVOT! Is another classic Friends scene and pop culture reference. Too bad you hadn’t seen this episode the last time you moved so you could’ve said it and see if anyone knew the reference. It’s one of those that you either know or you don’t. I hope you watch the blooper. It’s hilarious when all 3 of them can’t stop laughing. 🤣

Tara

Regarding the Howard storyline, I don't think they're trying to portray Ross as the bad guy. I think the point is that the people expecting him to give $100 to a complete stranger are the ones being unreasonable. RIP Willie Garson who plays Steve (dude asking Ross for the money). He died from pancreatic cancer in 2021 at age 57. He is best known for his roles on Sex and the City, White Collar, Hawaii Five-0 and NYPD Blue. I like how they keep bringing up the intimacy issues for Chandler, because even though it's a sitcom, it deals with a lot of real life issues, and intimacy issues is something that doesn't just easily go away. It's more realistic this way. Same goes for Joey, though I would have liked to have seen him trying a little more to be a "one woman kind of guy" at this point. Phoebe asking Gary if he knows Sipowicz is a reference to Detective Andy Sipowicz from NYPD Blue. David Schwimmer and Michael Rapaport appeared together on an episode of NYPD Blue as well as in the 1996 movie The Pallbearer. The blooper reel for the "Pivot!" scene: https:// youtu.be/hWruEaP4ysI?si=jxWzgTVpG9ddryfY 🤣 Also, there's a deleted scene that shows the couch ripping (though not in half): https://youtu.be/dUKLcq4BnbA?si=6SOqZX5gMQam6XjC

Heida

You have to watch the pivot blooper xD

KaijinGarou

Same! It kills me every time 😂 Ross looks so offended

Amanda P

LOL what's the occasion?

KaijinGarou

PIVOT!! the blooper reel for that scene shows how much fun they were having. The couch on the staircase reminds me so much of a classic Laurel and Hardy setup. And they pull it off beautifully.

Tom

I think we’ve all said “PIVOT!!!” at some point when moving.

Lino Escalante

I think Ross’s reaction is great, he’s just instantly happy for them. I’m glad there was no big drama around it. I love the “my best friend and my sister” that was delivered perfectly 🤣 I love that Monica can help his perception on commitment and he can calm down her crazy. They know just what to say to each other. They help each other grow as people and I just love that. Lmao I heard “and then pivot” and I thought just wait for it lmao PIVOT… PIVOT so iconic 😂

Raquel Perodin

As soon as you said “they need to pivot” I laughed cause i knew the pivot scene was coming up lol

Sage Martinez

"Two divorces and joey!?" is one of my favourite Monica lines lol

Jeanette Dawe

"Pivot" is such an iconic Friends moment 💎

AnastasiaSandm

Oh my god, the second you said pivot I was like "Just you wait!" xD
