The Legend of Korra S4 Ep: 7-9 (FULL REACTION)

Bit of a few slow episodes but some much needed character growth particularly with Korra's trauma and learning how to accept what happened and moving forward. Enjoy :)

I'm very excited for the last episode. I'm curious how you will find the finale. Have you decided what to watch after?

Yeah I really love seeing a healthy friendship between two women represented in this show, doesn’t happen too often.

Episode 7 is one of my favorite episodes this season, for the same reason that episode 9 is one of my favorites from season 3; I just love when (most of) the friend group is together doing Team Avatar stuff! And in this one I love how the former love triangle’s dynamics play out here, especially during the car chase scene. First Mako is yelling at Asami about what turns to take, then he’s yelling at Korra for her plan to jump over the bridge and onto the kidnappers’ truck. Meanwhile Korra and Asami are completely in lock-step, just like we saw them be throughout the previous season. Korra stands up in the car right as Asami is pulling up to the side of the bridge, each trusting that the other person knows what’s up. I only recently saw that scene broken down in a different reactor’s comments section, so I’m still geeking out over the creative little details the show creators put in here!

I wrote this in the comments of your previous Korra upload, but this is what happened with episode 8: Nickelodeon spontaneously cut this season’s budget, the equivalent of what it would cost to make about 1 episode. But they still had to deliver a total of 13 episodes. So the creators were left with the choice of either letting go of a bunch of their crew members several weeks earlier than expected, or get creative with the budget. This is one of the creator’s tumblr posts about the situation, which he released before the episode aired: https://www.tumblr.com/bryankonietzko/103173899927/a-few-preemptive-words-about-episode-408
