This film feels like pure movie magic with its cinematography and thoughtfulness of the characters. Honestly Tom Cruise might be the best action movie star lol.

2023-12-07 06:30:27 +0000 UTCThe scene with the practice swords in the rain- from what I remember culturally the wooden practice sword (bokken) is always supposed to be treated as if it’s a real sword. So at least as far as the samurai that ends up beating him down is concerned he is telling Algren to drop it like any other weapon.
