To everyone's surprise she publicly forgave him and they remained a couple for another 5 years. The flashback episode is before the pilot but when Monica introduced Rachel to Chandler in the pilot they acted as if they had never met before. The Joey and Monica thing is a nod to the original plan on them being a couple, but when Jennifer Aniston was cast to play Rachel it was changed to Ross and Rachel. Isabella Rossellini is an Italian actress and model. She is the daughter of Swedish actress Ingrid Bergman and Italian film director Roberto Rossellini. She was married to Martin Scorsese and was engaged to Gary Oldman. Also, Dorothy Hamill is a retired American figure skater. Fun fact: Marissa Ribisi portrays Rachel's friend Betsy in the flashback episode (the redhead). She is the twin sister of Giovanni Ribisi who portrays Frank Jr.
