Ursula is a secondary character that Lisa Kudrow played in the sitcom Mad About You, which starred Helen Hunt and Paul Reiser. This episode was a crossover with Helen Hunt and Leila Kenzie from that show making a cameo. By the way, that was one of my favorite sitcoms from the 90s along with Seinfeld, Friends, and Frasier.

When they started casting the character of Phoebe for Friends, they liked what Lisa did as Ursula and she got the part. If I remember correctly, there may have been some crossover when Lisa appeared on Mad About You as Ursula a couple times after she started playing Phoebe. It was also great for Helen Hunt to make an appearance on Friends and mistake Phoebe for Ursula. At the time, both shows were popular
