YourNightlyRamble - *Pop*

A very quick and borderline frantic ramble about a reoccurrence in my audios.

Comments

If possible something could be triggering it, like certain things trigger my "tics" depending on what they are they can cause them be painful or just an annoying movement that cause people to stare or think I am under the influence of something like a security officer thought I was today at school so I had to explain my condition. Which I didn't mind doing since I have people that ask about the conditon or have the conditon and ask questions or for tips on how to manage it.

That's interesting to know about the muscle spasms. I don't know if mine are caused by anything, so I guess I should make a mental note to keep track of when it does occur if there is any reason behind it. And anti anxiety medication is so troublesome. It helps one thing, but sacrifices another part of you in some fashion. :/

I think I know what you are talking about i have something similar but I don't think its exactly what you have, but this is a guess I have cervical dystonia is a conditon that cause my neck muscles and or arm muscles to contract that look similar to a spasm or a jerk, doctors have told me that its not related to tourettes but it can be considered a tic due to the spasms, jerk and certain muscles tighting out of nowhere sometimes or happens when drink to much coffee or anything with caffine other times its cause by my very bad anxiety and stress i do take anti anxiety meds for it which help manage the "Tics" but i don't like that they make me very tired which makes it hard to focus at school or work but i manage i hope this helps ( somewhat) in finding out what you have. And I do hear slight popping in your audios but they are funny. ☺️

I still have no idea what 'stimming' is. I know it's short for "Stimulating/Stimulation," but it's used in ways too specific for me to grasp. lol And while I think it's normal just to make noise on purpose to fill the silence or to think, these moments I'm referring to are not on purpose. 😅

*The mer-man flutters his eye brows in arousal and closer do his lips approach your ear.* He whispers, "Pop pop glupop bop pop." I think I know what you mean about peoples' quirks. Like the people who 'um' a lot?

... ... ... OKAY, yeah. I know. The biggest critics of us are ourselves. But I just keep hearing it! It's subtle. And once again you give me the computer equivalent of the biggest hug ever! Regardless, next ramble, I WILL find an example. (Also please don't worry, I'm relaxed and not as freaked as I come off lol)

I don't recall ever hearing the little popping sound in any of your raw audios at all!! I think that you may be overthinking this, lovely Nightly, and remembering that you scrutinise every nuance of your voice way more than most people, you are bound to notice some kind of quirk. Relax and know that we love your voice, with or without a 'pop' ❤

I’ve never noticed it in your raw audios! But I think everyone has some sort of auditory quirk. For some people it’s ending every sentence with “you know what I mean?” For others it’s a tsk of the tongue. I almost wonder if rather than a tick it’s verbal stemming? Which I don’t even know if that’s a thing, but it makes sense to me. Also, now you know you have to do some sort of sexy fish/mermaid/tentacle audio right? “The dream of the Fisherman’s Wife” brought to life, please! 🤩

I make popping and mouth noises often and I’ve chalked it up to somewhere between stimming, filling the silence, and echolalia. If it’s involuntary that’s when you should be concerned. But if it’s just absent minded actions then I wouldn’t be too worried about it lol
