Hello! Fantasia here, with a quick devlog.
First and foremost, Happy Anniversary 'The Kid at the Back'! I did not expect my very first visual novel to get this much recognition and up until now I am still not used to the attention, it just feels really baffling! I would like to thank everyone who has been there from the very start, pre-rewrite and post-rewrite, to my friends who enjoyed my content, to my editor and my beloved co-writer (and number one Crowe simp).
On to business, I've been thinking it quite a while and I've decided with how I will be publishing the next 5 days, this might come as sad news to some but this is for my own mental health and that I don't feel pressured to update my game every time but I will be releasing days 3-7 in one MAJOR update.
Yes, I won't be releasing it by 2 days with day 7 being the last, I'll be developing the game up until the last day so please do not expect an update for next coming months whatsoever because I will be focusing on writing and polishing my script with my editor (give me a year or two idk).
Again, I will be publishing the next update as COMPLETE DAYS 1-7.
However, you are able to see some of my progress if you're a Soulmate in my patreon so do check it out if you want to see what I've been cooking (but none for now since I'm on my hiatus!).
Next is that I'll be making some short mini games based on TKaTB, they're not canon to the real universe, if I feel like making a spin-off then I will make them, don't be surprised if I just randomly dropped a short gag VN since it is also part of my experimentation with renpy.

I saw that it says that both are 22 but the smallest siblings birthday is in Jan and older is in march, which makes me think that the game timeline must be set between their bdays, but itβs during Halloweenβ¦ I might just be confused!! But again great game and AMAZING VISUALS SND MUDIC OH GOSH! it feels illegal to have a free access to this game!

I hope you've been doing well! Only today I've been catching up with various news and it may be late but I'm so appalled at the backlash with the orange juice scene! I can imagine that not updating and just working on the game should give you more space to fully dedicate yourself to making the game what you want it to be without a constant buzzing of mosquitos who wanted the character to be something it wasn't ever meant to be. I have no clue about how the whole situation looks like from your perespective or if it's even my place to comment it as a humble patreon but I really hope this whole thing hasn't been getting to you! The dark side of something becoming popular is that eventually people outside of the intended niche will check it out. Current mainstream mentally is so self centered that people just don't get it that it's perfectly normal that something is not meant for them. I'm sure all of dead dove do not eat fans appreciate your work! Reminds me a bit of The Coffin of Andy and Leyley drama where people were okay with some disturbing themes (murder and cannibalism) but totally started to sht themselves over incest. One way or another, hang in there and I sincerely wish for you to never loose your passion and inspiration because of other people! Belated happy New Years too! (Sorry for long and weird writing, English isn't my fiest language)
