Studio Update Part 3: Classic Redux
Added 2025-04-14 00:56:41 +0000 UTCHey everyone,
We’ve made it to Part 3 of our development update series—and this one’s all about progress. The first two parts dug into the technical setbacks we’ve been navigating with Flash and Unity. Today, we’re shifting gears to show you how far we’ve come.
There’s still work ahead, but we’re finally seeing the results of everything we’ve been grinding through—and we’re really excited to share it with you.
Classic High Tail Hall – Reconstructed in Unity
We’ve completed a full environment overhaul of the original Classic HTH map inside Unity.
Every area has been:
Rebuilt from the ground up, preserving the layout and structure exactly as it was in Flash
Matched 1:1 to the original viewfinder, keeping the presentation and feel that fans remember
Optimized for click-through navigation, just like the original
To be clear:
These aren’t just screenshots placed in a box. Every zone has been rebuilt as a working area. This gives us the ability to:
Fix and polish visuals
Add updates and enhancements
Roll out future patches based on bug reports
This means Classic will continue to evolve with us—and you’ll be a part of that journey!
What’s New in the Unity Version
Alongside the environmental rebuild, we’re also adding a few new things that we think fans of the original will love:
Full voice treatment for the Classic version
A complete soundtrack (previews will be in a separate post)
Plans for continued fixes and polish, some of which may be added in future builds
We’re also open to feedback—if you like the updates and want to see them stay, we’ll give you a chance to vote on certain features. We want this to be a collaborative experience, not just a static re-release.
What Comes Next
There will be several Unity update patches rolled out based on how the build performs and what we hear from all of you. This version isn’t just a recreation—it’s a foundation for keeping Classic alive and even better than before.
Thank you again for sticking with us through all of this. We know it’s been a long road, but seeing this come together has been incredibly rewarding, and we’re so grateful to still be here, building this with you.
Let’s bring Classic into the future—together!
There’s still more to come.
We’ve been quietly brewing a lot behind the scenes with our other games, too. Classic was simply the one in crisis, so it had to take priority. But you’ll be seeing more posts and updates soon, letting you in on what’s next across the rest of the HTH lineup.
