I’m currently in my 3rd year of teaching (8th grade English) and I just recently had an interview for a position to move to high school and teach 10th grade. I had been struggling to choose whether to stay or leave and ultimately I chose to leave but my hesitation was because I was scared for sure. I love the people I work with and I have seniority on my team and my principal gave me the assignment I wanted for next year. But I didn’t want to turn down an opportunity that wasn’t likely to come again just because I was scared. Have y’all ever had an opportunity you just had to go after even though you were scared? How did you push past the scary?
