The Game Within A GAME

Hey Patrons and Happy Saturday to you all! How have we been this week? *insert Wendy Williams 'another week' gif* 

ENOUGH SMALL TALK LET'S GET TO THE MEAT AND POTATOES OF IT ALL! 

This week on Drag Race All Stars we FINALLY got the *reveal* of the game within a game and ... it was what I expected but not what I hoped for. It was a Lip-Sync SMACKDOWN. And, as a formerly avid fan of WWE, this concept appeals to me on a base level, but for the complex incredibility of drag queens I was hoping it might be something a little more innovative! That said, we still got some solid gold enterTAINTment out of it all. 

The queens went head to head in lip sync battles starting with the first two eliminated queens, Serena Cha Cha and Jiggly Caliente, and from there every winner moved on to face off against the next eliminated queen. This is a fun concept, HOWEVER, I wish they were giving us these battle royales week to week rather than all in one episode. I love watching lip syncs, but watching them back to back to front to back to side to side to reveal to sort-of-cartwheel to moderate-death-drop to light fixture break and so on, for me, starts to dilute the actual MOMENTS these queens are having on that stage.

SILKY NUTMEG OH-MY-GANACHE

God bless the good reverend because she delivered front, back and SIDEWAYS. The lunacy of her schticks got me again and again and again. She started with her patented  pulling treasures from her titties...this time it was a full mini bar and I SQUEALED. Then she had her water bottle moment, followed by a full color guard moment which CAUGHT ME OFF GUARD...

AND THEN

The Barbie Girl split lip sync BY HERSELF that will truly go down in herstory. I MADE SO MANY UNKNOWN BUT EXCITABLE NOISES ON ACCOUNT OF THE INSPIRED COMMITMENT TO HER OWN STUPIDITY IN THAT PERFORMANCE. WOW. What a damn delight! Then to take out the grandma-rage-fueled Jan with a hidden guitar that she broke on stage BROKE ME. Followed by an EMBODIED performance against Pandora that broke my own back by proxy. And finally, the Eureka face off of Since You Been Gone that left us with a monstrous cliffhanger about who won and will be back in the competition next week! 

JASUS I'm exhausted just recapping her run. Silky truly showed up with the GOOD milk that did my body good. I don't know how to call the face off with Eureka. Eureka wearing her mom's life alert and performing *seemingly* right after she was eliminated makes me root for her, but we can't deny Silky's run of pure delight and devastation. Where do we go from here?! I gotta know what you all think! Who's getting let back into the competition? Do you think they'd bring them both back?? Also, kudos to the queens that thought they were wrapped for the day and then had to sit and watch an extra hour of lip sync smackdowns lol! They really put them through it! With that, who do we think is making it to the top? At this point, I truly don't know! I do think Ginger has been consistently strong, and TKB is great when she's great (but bad when she's bad), and Kylie has been surprisingly incredible and Ra'Jah is getting that exciting underdog edit... and then we'll be bringing back Silky or Eureka and I just don't know! Spill y'alls guts on the matter! And have great weekends! I'm gonna go listen to Barbie Girl! ❤️G
