Happy Sunday, Patrons! So, I usually take notes while I watch the episode and then write them into a post but this week I’m writing this as I watch since I desperately have to get back to attempting to write final papers for school that I’ve put off until three days before they’re due because I’M AN EXCELLENT STUDENT. My apologies if this post is a little wonky!

Hope you guys have been having a good weekend, let’s get into this weeks down under episode!

I guess we have to go on after the tragic loss of Wiggles BUT I DON’T WANT TO. Karen you better cry over that dry ass pussy! Art had it absolutely correct…she’s “the most aggressively positive person I’ve ever met in my life.” And I haven’t even met her! But I feel like I have. That’s the kind of chaotic good she emanates through my filthy lap top!

Karen is strangely overly emotional. I guess we haven’t seen her emote yet… so it’s strange. Then we get the narrative that Kita has yet to step up entirely, so we can assume she’s either going to kill it this episode or be killed this episode. The Kita Kiwi is fired up! And now it’s Kiwi’s vs Aussie’s. And, like Kita said, there’s a reason they say Australia is full of SNAKES. Also, now considering what y’all said last week about them being encouraged to up the shade takes me a little out of the fantasy. A lot of it seems put on. But at the same time it’s freaking drag race, EVERYTHING is put on, so let’s just try and stay positive about it! It’s what Wiggles would want!

It’s a new day in the werkroom and they enter to a B.C.E. call? I think? Big Crusty Energy? Sure, I’ll take it. Nothing about this show makes sense so who actually cares lol. NO, whoops, sorry, I’m staying positive! The queens have some incredibly authentic banter where ETC ETC continues to shade Kita’s ballgown and thankfully Maxi breaks it up by saying she wants a cooking challenge. You know what, I’d love that too! Have they done that yet? When do we elevate drag to the level that they all have to also be great bakers/cooks? I’m here for it!

In the meantime, snatch your reading glasses or tell your optometrist to finish up your lasik eye surgery bc THE LIBRARY IS OPEN. It’s time to read. Because reading is fundamental!

Art wins the reading challenge. Kita is less than impressed. But no time to pout it’s time for a marketing challenge! Time for them to sell themselves! Through yeast spread! Which sounds like a symptom I would tell my gynecologist about at our next visit. EWWWW I’M SORRY I GROSSED MY OWN SELF OUT TOO. Wiggles, I’m sorry!

But I’m not the only one with my brain in a gross gutter…Karen is calling hers discharge. ETC ETC thinks the queens are being immature and she wants to go elegant and refined…so she’s opting for a high class woman holding a jar of piss. PERFECT. She also doesn’t think she’s a shady queen…so…good to know etc is completely grounded in reality. What fun.

We get into the yeast spread shoots. Karen looks like an Aussie Peg Bundy. The guest judge Susanne hates the word discharge. And then Scarlet comes on with a snatch concept and really blows their clams away. Art has a crazy ass concept and I have no idea what’s actually going on. I feel like this challenge is a long con to constantly scandalize Suzanne lol. Poor lady. And then ETC comes out and pisses in a jar. SOMEONE HELP SUSANNE, DEAR GOD! Elektra comes in strong and then oh no MAXI IS STRUGGLING.

It’s elimination day! And they get into the Scarlett drama. She admits that she did black face in the past and the queens have an honest conversation about it. I like that they all hold her accountable. Especially ETC - I appreciate her candid conversation.

Runway. Category is finest Shelia in the bush. I’m not totally sure what that means but I hope I find out.

Elektra: that’s so Raven! I think this is cool but I still have no idea what the category is.

Kita: wow cool it’s like Ursula goes to Mardi Gras

Maxi: She looks like a southern bell - what is this category?! Ha I truly have no idea

Karen: Is in a fireman’s suit? WHAT IS THIS CATEGORY??? HA I thought context clues would help but I”m truly so confused

Art: has wine corks on her hat and then stripes to become what I imagine Wiggles’ aunt looks like? This category has got my brain TWISTED

ETC ETC: looks like what the bushes in out Palm Springs house turn into when I’m on mushrooms… then she strips and becomes an all black burnt dress… okay I kinda get it?

Scarlet: is a giant inside out metal umbrella? SURE WHY NOT

Now we watch the ads:

Elektra: wonderful! A great full concept! She needed a break!

Kita: Well it doesn’t help that I was eating a bagel and cream cheese during that commercial! Lol! But good job!

Maxi: Not as bad as I thought! But it was just bad enough that it got Ru to give us a quote from her therapist haha

Karen: Ehhhh but it was a little underwhelming - I like her firefighter’s costume message and FINALLY we get some explanation of the category!

Art: A funny dig at Americans I love it! And I realize I don’t know Art’s reference but I want to!

ETC ETC: Piss? Not my favorite - it’s not taking the piss outta me IF YOU KNOW WHAT I (Kita) MEAN

Scarlet: the snatch concept didn’t seem the most unique. And again her runway is a reference I don’t get but I want to!

And then Ru has THE TALK with Scarlet and gives her the opportunity to explain herself. I kinda say this coming thanks to Ben’s insider info last week. But WOOF. Ru uses it as a teaching moment to advocate for accountability vs cancellation. It’s an interesting moment. I’m still not sure what to make of it. I’m curious what you guys thought?

Regardless, they quickly move on to judging! Lol at Rhys talking about giving the children Divine! I watched the I Am Divine documentary last year and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

Moving on! Elektra wins the challenge! Aw I’m so happy for her!!!

But oh no Maxi is up for elimination! Against ETC ETC! I’m excited to see what they can do. Maxi with the mic up her sleeve! Love it! They’re both having such fun! That was a nice lip sync! And Maxi shantays! And she says thank you into her mic! I love her! ETC ETC sashays and I’m a bit surprised. BUT I’m glad Maxi stays because I feel like we still haven’t gotten to know her that well. And, like ETC said, she’s only 22 (cue TSwift)! She’s already a wise, sassy queen that has nothing but time to continue to blossom.

Overall, I thought it was a fine episode. It’s shaking up the top for me since Karen seems to be consistently underwhelming. At this point I’d put Art, Kita and either Elektra or Scarlet at the top … though I have a feeling Karen might come on stronger moving forward. At least I hope. Use the flames from your Guy Fieri shirt to light a fire under your ass, Karen! Give us some competition! What’d y’all think of this weeks episode? Now, I have to go bury my brains in writing final papers for school that I’ve put off until three days before they’re due LIKE A REAL GRAD STUDENT! Have great weeks y’all! ❤️G
