Oh wow, your theory about the double shantay makes so much sense, how did I miss that? I loved that everyone that was good in the snatch game was GREAT! And I definitely agree that Kandy was just playing herself, I'm not a huge Patrick stan, but I've never seen him eat like, at all? Can we talk about Ru's wigs? Actually I can't even remember if he's doing that in UK or US but those little kitty kat wigs he's wearing in the workroom, definitely a choice.

Omg I wrote a full novel in the comments like we all do and I think it somehow got deleted so here we go again in a *sliiightly* more succinct post bc I barely remember what I just wrote tbh. 1. Drink every time I say that I find Tina Burner jarring and you'd all be blackout drunk. I think my mind is made up on her and I'm just not feeling the vibes! 2. The way not ONE of the queens changed up their snatch game character after Ru warned them about it being a bad choice was so surprising to me? Usually they all come with back ups but this time they looked Ru dead in the eyes and went "watch me do this character anyway, bitch!" 3. Miss Utica....*insert Tyra Banks WE WERE ROOTING FOR YOU meme* - idk if it was the editing but this episode she went down in my estimations. She came across kind of stubborn and cold? 4. Symone's runway.....CAN I GET AN AMEN. Absolutely incredible. No words. 5. Interesting theory about wanting to get Elliott out before Kandy! I do think that the producer -created plot/narratives have been way more obvious this season and it all feels a liiittle predictable at times and I can't tell what's real and what's produced...*puts on tin foil hat* Okay I'm pressing 'post' and if this comment deletes itself again I will be putting on my Karen wig and asking to speak to the manager. (p.s Congrats on such happy news this week, Grace! Idk if it's bc I've been following your stuff for 10 years but it felt weirdly like a distant family member got engaged. Finally, the Snatch Game! First of all, I don't think I've ever seen an edit of the Snatch Game were RuPaul has thrown so many bones at queens during the game questions. This really was theirs to lose. Mik was SO SO SO good. She really solidified her spot as a finalist with this one. I think Symone did a great job. It was funny but she wasn't making fun of the character. But to fully be THAT guy, there WAS a feature film on Harriet Tubman in 2019 titled "Harriet", starring Tony-Grammy-(daytime)Emmy award winning Cynthia Erivo with Oscar nominations for Best Actress and Best Song. Not a very exciting film considering who and what it was about but as a non-USAmerican I was still prompted to learn more about Harriet Tubman after watching it. I kept thinking of Cynthia Erivo using the Kennedy Davenport meme of "fuck my drag, right?". I did laugh at the Jennifer mixup though! (And Jennifer Lewis is an absolute treasure.) Now, Kandy... I'm not actually familiar with the MUA Youtube content. I know some names because their drama has leaked over to other content and platforms (and I've watched your NTDs of Kandee Johnson and Manny MUA, both very lovely) but I did see Patrick Starrr's makeover of Hannah (gorgeous!) and he seemed really really nice! Has he ever acted like Kandy portrayed him or was it full on just Kandy in a Patrick Starrr look? Also, I have certain feelings about the big girls going for the food jokes in Snatch Game. It was kinda funny when Stacy Lane Matthews did it as Mo'nique in Season 3 since she was channeling her character from Precious, it wasn't funny when Latrice Royale did it as Aretha Franklin in Season 4, it was ok when Ginger Minj did it as Adele on Season 7 as she didn't rely 100% on it and it sure wasn't funny this time. I can't figure out how to phrase it properly but it just doesn't feel good for them to reduce a character to just that. The only time it made absolute sense was when Darienne Lake did Paula Deen in Season 6 and that's because Paula Deen's work is about food. Denali was INSANE! The impression was very good and she exaggerated it to the right point for comedy. I'm so glad she's in this upward trajectory in the game. About Olivia... now I don't mind having to look a Snatchee up as I don't expect to know who everyone is but WHERE WERE THE JOKES? I'm not gonna discuss Eliott's blasphemy. And Utica. Oh why Utica, why? Overthunk it central. From the squirrel afro to the painted environments. The only bright moment for me was when she ate paint and that's just because I was really hoping you'd title your post "Utica ate paint!" and you did!!! :D Now as far as Utica's secret "dark side", I'm not really buying into the allegations. Sure, I'm biased but I woudn't have felt comfortable either telling Olivia she sucked RIGHT after we'd left the Snatch Game set. And as far as the "backup reads at dinner-time" it just seems to me that Utica is trying to do the shady humor that queens do with each other as a sign of bonding and closeness and she's just really really bad at it. I mean, she read from a binder! Evil mastermind or just socially awkward nerd? Time will tell. Her lipsync was amazing though. I'm kinda glad I got to see it. The runway was good... for the most part (Yes, I'm looking at you Tina and Elliott). Special shoutout of course to Symone. We love a queen with a platform and a message. I got chills when she actually said their names in the talking head during her runway. As greatful as I am to have Drag Race to look forward to during lockdown, I'm kind of ready for this Season to be over if I'm honest. Then we'll have All-Stars 6 to talk about!! :D

I LOVED this episode, it was just so entertaining. The mini challenge was amazing, i loved young rupaul photos and Tina made me laugh. Gotmik was definitely my favourite from snatch game, she made me laugh out loud right away with her voice change. I also thought symone did really well and i died at the stamping, rosè and denali both killed it and made me laugh. Utica was hard to watch because i agree bob ross could be good but it just was not and Elliott was also really not fantastic. Tina was alright and Olivia was not funny. I really did not like Tina's runway, but loved Gotmik and Symones so much. I audibly gasped when Symone turned around with the bullet holes. I agreed whole heartedly with the bottom 2 and winner and was impressed with Utica's wiggly lip sync! I also did not understand why Michelle said she liked Elliotts look, no thanks. Utica is very interesting to me and it makes me love her more to see these sides of her, but i do just want to see her being comfortable and herself. 10/10 episode for me.

I know, I think the real loser this episode was the... potential! it could have been great!

I did think the squirrel wig was quite a work of art...and maybe that's really what she's best at...She's an extremely creative artistic goofball and that's not always synonymous with comedy. I'm learning!

The best thing I like about this season is there is no clear winner yet. But Utica snatch game, damn. There was so much she could have done. The soft soothing voice, but talk about how you'll hide the bodies behind a happy little tree, such potential. And Elliott, no. I'm a huge golden girls fan since I was a young kid and it was still new episodes and this was just so one note, and not even rue but blanche. Though I'm looking forward to race chaser this week to see Alaska take on this.

It was just too perfect!!

I stood and and Screamed UTICA ATE PAINT!! when she tried so hard to be a unique Bob Ross but it was sad unfortunately. But you gotta love that squirrel wig...come on!! For sure the Snatch winners were Mik, Rosé Olivia and Denali. The rest were there and tried. I still for the world of me understand the protecting Kandy this long. Is it for the Drama, which really isn't there. Yes It was Elliott's time this week but they are really making look scripted and I'm not happy. It makes me root for Utica harder, the quirky under dog!! Symone killed the runway!! When she turned around I literally got chills. Wonderful !! Mik is turning it up and could take it if others don't step up. Her runway looks are waaaay above the others, who haven't seem to want to be unique or different except her and Utica. Just my opinion tho. That "sponsor" punk look challenge was so Cringe! It was a Wee Wee Pole amount of entertainment. Fingers crossed the rest of the season will not feel so predictable. It's just not enjoyable or fair to the hard working queens!! Have a wonderful weekend y'all 🌸

I don't think being bad at snatch game is the kiss of death, but Olivia was knocked down several pegs and I think the judges are over Utica. I would swap Denali and Symone, I think they were equally good at the Snatch game, but Symone's runway looks was incredible and Denali's was meh. But I guess runway looks don't factor into anything anymore. I think Mik's snatch game is one of the best and Utica eating paint is down there with season four's "snookie want smoosh" and detox's kesha peeing. Yikes. They spent a lot of time during snatch game on the whole Raven never wins bit, I think Raven's a bad snatch game contestant cus the bitch never laughs, snatch game contestants just need to set the queen's up and laugh, too much time was dedicated to porkchop and raven, show more of the queens. Also congrats again, I'm glad one Elliott with two Ts had a win

Why Hello there! It's me again. And could it...could it be?....that time of the month again? Nope, it's not! But, last night was Snatch Game so LET'S GET INTO THIS NED TALK! This is gonna be a long one so you're gonna wanna grab a drink before this. *insert crowd cheering* Before we start: I would like to personally congratulate you on your engagement!!!!! I can't wait to see Goose be the ring bearer, flower girl and officiant at your wedding. *deep breath* buckle up because by the end of this Ned talk your wig will be snatched *ba dum tss* SO! everyone walks back into the werkroom and honestly it happened. When Rosé said, "the winner circle was never a thing because I was never a part of" I could feel the world move a little faster because everyone eye rolled at the same time but also I like a queen who is confident. Denali talking about how it's annoying that no one from the winner circle left was a valid complaint. I would be mad too if RuPaul had just fully eliminated a girl and then all of a sudden said, "nah i change my mind shantay you stay! Amen! Let the music play!" *i'm a winner! i'm a winner baybeh!* It is a new day in the werkroom I'm still doing mediocre (any UK S1 fans out there get it?) They had to do an ~interesting~ mini challenge imo. I've also noticed that they haven't done RuMail since the first episode after they did RuMail 6 times. Ru fully said, "we've exhausted all of our resources after me telling the girls to haul ass to the stage." The mini challenge was kinda uneventful for me, although it was nice to see the lovely pit crew members again. I was about to talk about the walk-thRu's but I as I don't want to write a Ged talk within a Ned Talk, I'll just jump over to Snatch game and in the spirit of this iconic challenge, I will write all my reactions in the style of myself. Warning: All of this commentary is coming from someone who can only do an impression of their dog sleeping. Symone: hilarious. the way she hid under the desk and then rose up to be like "are there any white people?" gave me life. then the whole stamping thing UGH. I thought she did a really good job. Gottmik: the voice change of the century. Vanjie wishes that when the did Danielle Bregoli, she could have played off her voice change. Very funny impression and I lived. this whole thing was genius!!!! Rosé: Did you know that Rosé was Scottish? I had no idea. I thought she did really good. I don't think she was better than Denali, Mik or Symone though. Tina Burner: She tried. She did a decent job and there were a few good laughs. It's so weird how Drag Race UK and USA have had so many duplicate moments, and now we can add the fake legs to the list. Now I want to buy a pair of fake legs and do this in one of my zoom classes. Kandy Muse: And she did an impression of Kandy Muse while dressed as Patrick Starr. It was funny because Kandy is funny. It's very reminiscent of Alyssa Edwards on AS2 doing Joan Crawford where you laugh because the person doing the impression is funny, but the impression itself was meh. Olivia: Too subtle. I don't know who Tabitha Brown is, and after the impression, I kinda don't really care to know who she is... Denali: I. Loved. This. I thought it was so good and quirky and there were some really good jokes. Elliott: Apparently the 2nd T stands for travesty because ~yikes~ One of the best parts of Elliott's impression was when she was talking to Denali and Denali made a joke.... Utica: She ate paint. Do I need to say any more? IT'S TIME FOR LE RUNWAY! or as the French say......uh, ummm, hmm, ehh, eek, ooo. ya....idk french. Overall I thought this was pretty good runway. Symone's runway was SO AMAZING because of the statement that it made. It was so powerful and at that point I honestly thought she was going to win this challenge for the runway alone. My jaw was on the floor the entire time of her runway. And then Gottmik came out and my jaw went down even further. I love the signature clown white face so I was happy to see it's resurgence. I liked Utica's a lot because it was very campy and I liked Olivia's as well because the white's were so pristine and the fascinator was *chefs kiss* wait actually u don't want to kiss mercury..... Let's talk about the bad runways: Rosé, Tina and Elliott. Rosé's was fine, but it didn't excite me. There was a shape, but when Michelle said she wasn't losing her neck I did a double take and was like "are we looking at the same thing? because I can't see any neck" Tina just needs to be stopped. I got that she was the horse, but it just didn't look that good. Elliott with 2T's: and neither of those T's stand for taste because this look was a choice.....I'm aware I'm being really harsh on Elliott but most of T2's looks so far, while they are more basic, they are polished and she always looks good. I didn't get flamingo until Michelle said it, she wasn't wearing eyebrows, she wasn't wearing lips, her wig didn't look good, the garment looked baggy. I was just a massive swing and a miss for me. At if there is any challenge where you need a good runway to possibly save you, it's Snatch Game. Think of Brooke Lynn Hytes. Her runway after her snatch game was ICONIC. Our winner is Gottmik! I think it's well deserved because she had the funniest snatch game and the best runway. I would have switched our Rosé for Symone in the top though. Our bottom 3: no surprise here, were Olivia, Utica and Elliott. When Ru called Olivia safe and the girls in the back were like "thank god" I was taken aback at first, but after Untucked it all makes sense. Utica and Elliott lip sync and Utica mopped the floor with Ms. 2T's. When Elliott was like "her legs are so long and she's going around the stage so fast" I was like "ummm ok....sure....whatever u say Jan." And again, the person choosing the songs needs a raise. Elliott with 2 T's sashay's away and this feels right. It feels like her time. Everyone who has been eliminated thus far was who I predicted to be the first 5 to go home. I got the order wrong, but I expected Kahmora, Joey, Tamisha, LaLa and Elliot to be the first 5 out, even though I was hoping Tamisha would go SOOOO much farther. Also, are we not gonna talk about how this is Elliott's 3rd time getting eliminated this season? She's been eliminated so many times this season that she has been eliminated as many times as Shangela, Manila Luzon, and Alexis Mateo in their entire drag race careers. (fyi Latrice has been eliminated 4 times because it happened twice on AS4). And with all that nonsense, I would like to thank everyone for coming to my Ned Talk. *and the crowd goes......timid*
