first in-game test!

basically the only maps working properly are the normal maps (which I'm going to update). this test was important so i can understand in which direction to take the colors. 

And yes, unfortunately I have to save the normal maps in DXT5 which, even at 4k by 8k res, shows compression. There's going to be even more compression artifacts once I add small details like an overlay, but the uncompressed 4k by 8k normal map (which is going to be an option) is insanely heavy. *

And no, I cannot fix the ugly vanilla animations. 

*Smaller resolutions are going to be available, and my very first test actually was 2k by 4k (not shown in pics). It looks.. fine. Not great, but fine. And it's way more performance and VRAM friendly! I'm running a 4GB R9 270x (2013), so your (relatively) potato computers are (relatively) safe with me. I will try and make a super-compressed version for very small amounts of VRAM. Uncompressed options are also going to be available.
