Tired.
Added 2024-01-30 01:47:01 +0000 UTCI am tired of standing around in lines, waiting for appointments, filling out endless forms, waiting months for any progress, paying fees to the government to do it's job, putting my life on hold while I wait for the bureaucratic machine to spit out my right to live. I'm tired of having to push and beg to get people to do their jobs. I'm tired of fighting to be seen as myself because of a mistake from when I was a baby. I'm tired of taking photos, and facial recognition technology, and background checks and finger prints. I'm tired of living in a security state, having to appeal to and answer to "respectable" Fascists. I'm tired of getting attitude from overworked underfunded tuned out employees who cannot react to anything outside the guidelines. I am tired of being told who I am, where I can go and what I can do. I just want to be free. I just want to just exist, without being a data point in a government computer.

We don't get to be considered human, we're a statistic at most, and if we a can manage to work, we survive as a miserable, underpaid cog.
