The Discord server is a reward you access through here on Patreon. So long as you are pledged to a tier, you can access the server through the tier rewards.

It’s a shitty situation but if the provide an exact reason, bad actors exploit the edges. Moderation is genuinely hard, and impossible to do at scale consistently. Patreon seems to be uniquely bad at it, but it’s fundamentally a hard problem.
