I know this isn’t canon and there are many different directions to go. I feel if he dies by Voldemort’s hand, we will all grieve. Perhaps you, dear writer, even more because you have a piece of yourself in this story more than all of us. I remember in one of my writing classes, long ago, my Professor quoted a well-known writer, “If you want to write a great story, you must be willing to kill off some of your darlings.” It’s a painful thing a writer needs to come to grips with. I’m not saying this is how you should go. We all probably hope it’s another direction entirely. But the “bad and horrifying” must be bigger than the protagonists. Only when the protagonist beats the antagonist will the protagonist become the true hero. I mean, what’s David without Goliath? Go with your Muse no matter what. I wish you luck. You are probably more in love with him than any of us. ❤️❤️🙏🙏
