I'd love to get your input on a new storyline. While the "Teacher's Pet" saga isn't wrapping up anytime soon, I know many of you are keen to see our broody boy with a woman closer to his own age and I'm all for that!
I’ve got a couple of ideas I'd love your thoughts on.
First up, how about a marriage law scenario? If you've been around HP fanfic for a while you may have stumbled upon that trope. Picture a Ministry-forced marriage leading to a frenemies-to-lovers arc, complete with immediate smut, endless awkwardness, and plenty of chances for mutual irritation, wrapped up in a slow-burn romance. I was thinking of making this into a fic originally, but it could be great as an audio storyline too.
Another concept I'm toying with is a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure series on YouTube. The ending for each story would be exclusive here. The reason I haven't started on that yet is a recent strike from YouTube. I need to be cautious with content there for a while and try to strike a balance between spicyness and sfw storytelling. But the plan is for Snape to train you as a Death Eater, and your choices will shape the story. You can be naughty or nice and then see what happens...
I’m also open to hearing your ideas! Feel free to drop a comment here or in the story chat to discuss.
Regarding posting frequency, if I do start a second storyline, how does switching it up sound? Maybe alternating between every week or every two weeks? At the moment, I can't really do more than one episode a week.

Sorry, I'm new so I'm just taking a sneak peek everywhere even when the chat is finished. Just wanted to say the idea of someone challenging Severus sounds great. At the same time I adore the idea of young Severus, and Lucius showing him the doorway to sexuality. After all the young boy has to get Lilly out of his mind somehow.😏

Severus wakes at first believing everything he experienced the moment he joined the dark lord was a very vivid nightmare. While this world where he's still taciturn to his students but can show how much he enjoys teaching. He's never really forgiven James but he came to terms with Lily the war happened but with out him the dark lord failed, it all seems perfect but, there's something. It nags at him constantly as days pass, he finds himself starting a conversation with someone not there, sees things and absently thinks "she'd like that" only to be confused who 'she' is, he finds himself debateing if this perfect world is really what he wants. If he's happy as the man he is now with out the experiences from his "dream" is he really still that Severus Snape if he never lived that life? So many good things exist now, but is it to good, to perfect? And what is this heavy feeling, this intrinsic knowledge that something that had become such a deep part of him is now gone?

She’s an aurora in training and knows of Snapes involvement with the death eaters so when she finds out she’s slept with him, she’s shocked but now can’t keep away. She’s young but grown and sexy and her outfits are grabbing his attention with each lesson. And he finds her little note of all the things she wants professor Snape to say to her ( I think U know which TikTok clip I’m talking about) I need that in a full story please lol they can still sneak around (cause staff shouldn’t date) while also having some freedom to flirt and be spicy in more locations 🩷

He speaks of how much he loves her, how he would do everything to protect her. It reminds me very much of "creature mating" in other fantasy stories. It is very intese and all consuming. It's a level of love and intimacy said to be difficult for humans to understand.

The aftermath of voldemort's genocide leading to a dwindling of magical blood after loosing so many purebloods to the war... especially since it's pretty known that the pureblood families are pretty much inbred at this point...and the ministry is still fairly corrupt. Mandatory marriages and the production of magical children...ect ect

2024-11-07 23:53:01 +0000 UTCI completely agree. I’m not keen on another long storyline and I’m not keen on marriage and especially pregnancy ( been there done that) to be honest. I think I would give it a miss. I DO like the idea of single episodes and maybe the odd sequel. Different places, scenarios, partners, etc. Keeps things fresh. It would be easy to tire of a long storyline if one doesn’t particularly like any of the characters or plots.

How about this for a story line: A new "Professor" is hired at Hogwarts, (she could be over Incantations or something I don't know). But she is also a very powerful sorceress who is actually in hiding from Voldemort as she has the 'key to immortality' (or something or other he really wants. ) She and Severus are instantly attracted and she doesn't know he's a Death Eater and he doesn't know she's in hiding until he is called on 'find' her... Just a thought!

Listening to these has also brought me back to writing, which I haven't done in years. I'm currently writing one where the reader comes back to Hogwarts years after graduating to be Snape's class aid ( per Dumbledore's request) if you want to use that idea to propel a storyline of your own it'd be interesting to see what your beautiful mind comes up with. I love love love your writing style and how much it really feels like snape and the real deal.

2024-11-07 11:54:49 +0000 UTCYou know I think the forced marriage one is an interesting concept given historical precedent and if you pair it with declining birth rates. Also they would have lost a lot of witches and wizards in the war. Replenish the numbers sort of thing. A policy along the lines of “breed out the mudbloods,” or a “baby for the dark lord”. Severus needs to keep his cover, he’d be killed if they knew he’d helped Dumbledore. She needs to survive and not be given to another wizarding family. I also think there could be a big reveal when she realises he was actually on Dumbledore’s side and that he loved Lilly. Maybe Lilly and Severus were a few years above her at school. Maybe Lilly had looked out for her or been kind to other girls struggling in the lower years. She’ll have to process learning he’d been protecting students from the worst of it as he’d promised to Dumbledore. He also has to conceal how much he has fallen for his “handmaid” or risk exposure. I mean this could grow so many threads and explore the darker post war wizard world. I mean also they’re post probably suffering a lot of PTSD and are trauma bonded. I also like the idea she’d had her own spark for the potions professor before it appeared he maliciously killed Dumbledore. Some of their time at Hogwarts when he was professor could add to the spicy tension. Her going from attraction to hating him as a headmaster to need, to mutual understanding of loyalties and then love. I mean so many threads and ways to bring in the ever sexy evil Malfoy who maybe also got “gifted” a witch (Narssica could hate it, love it, get involved…I mean world is your fictional oyster). Maybe mudbloods are considered on a par with house elves now…. I’ll stop but you know… please please please write more for this story line.

In order for Snape to find out who, he has to get all of the clues correctly before he can meet his admirer....then she uses the invisibility cloak to show parts of her that she's willing for him to see until he gets to see the whole woman.

That does leave room for potential sequels or re-visitations down the road. But also lesser commitments. You wouldn't be married to any specific storyline if you're having trouble coming up with a new adventure for them. Simply table it and start over. Gives you a chance to go back to the drawing board when you have fresh eyes and renewed inspiration. Additionally, I think the variety allows for more of the audience greater opportunities to relate to the female characters. What I mean by that is, not everyone relates to the classic librarian cliche or the naughty school girl trope, but maybe someone has a fantasy of being a magical creatures teacher. That could also allow a chance to bring in other established characters. A chance for us to exolore Severus's interactions with say, Neville Longbottom, Minerva McGonagall, Kingsley Shacklebolt etc... We're all tip-toeing on alternative universe/head-cannon territory. I think most people agree or at least want Severus to survive the last war. Whose to say he didn't fake his death and left England and all his mental load behind to seek out his own life afterwards?

She won't be afraid to keep him in check if he gets an attitude and they would be very much on equal footing as they navigate this situation. But as I said, I totally understand the ick factor of a forced situation like this in light of the election outcome.

They go on these differents assignments together with order from Dumbledore or the Minister of Magic. From their we get to follow them on their love, very spicy and hot story. Maybe she has some secrets that she hides from her past, which she does everything to keep secret. But Snape obviously notices that she's hiding something because he is who he is. They both often have heated discussions about who should decide, etc. It's like a competition between them in some special moments you know. 😏

But for someone who’s older, maybe one where Lucius introduces the female to Snape and they meet that way. That could just be me since I clearly love Malfoy lol.

I think a sweet girl who has like depth of empathy because of her own background breaking down his walls would be nice but I get that could be less hot and kinky.
