This one is not part of the "Teacher's Pet" series. The next episode for that will drop tomorrow.
In this one, Severus no longer has a heart of gold, in fact he is quite willing to do what it takes to get what he wants. It's a very dark version of him that may not be for everyone. This one contains quite a bit of coercion, degradation, a massive power imbalance and a good helping of Stockholm syndrome. Maybe. I'll leave that for you to decide. If that's not quite your cup of tea, tomorrow's episode will be more lighthearted again as we venture to London. But I won't spoil that just yet...

He hears the sound of light splashing coming from his adjoining bathroom, only to find to her taking a bath. Because of his height, the tub in this bathroom is twice the length of the one down the hall. She is not startled by his entrance, she only looks up at him and says, "Would you like to join me?"

I think it would be interesting to see her/us realize that Severus is not an inherently bad person and that we grow to some degree of comfort with each other as we deal with the aftermath of the war and each other in our arrangement

I don’t believe she could genuinely love him, since nothing about her presence there was consensual. Personally if he wants to be a better man, he has to let her go. Then we see how she feels, what she does. But I suspect that one moment will always only be one moment. A desperate moment between two starved people one an abuser the other a victim that could not occur in a consensual, equal relationship . So he’s kidding himself. 😭 Gosh your writing is amazing. I do feel a bit sorry for him, but oh my what a bastard. Could be time he gets dominated ;). 😁 Since we may all now have PTSD after this episode haha 😉as usual just my thoughts and opinions, anyway, thanking you as always for your talent and sharing it with us! 🥰

Maybe he just broke. Poor Charity. She really has been traumatized. But at least she wasn’t killed and fed to Nagini. War makes people really crazy. Maybe she does have Stockholm syndrome after all that trauma, manipulation, and torture. War makes strange bedfellows because the only thing of importance is survival. It doesn’t surprise me that two really broken people somehow find some kind of comfort in each other each other no matter how twisted it comes about. I got hope at the end when he said he felt a small sense of hope from their closeness. They both have PTSD badly too. Ay! Life is surreal and painful sometimes. The writing is flawless. You really captured the sickness in him, and the desperation in her. The psychology of how something like this can happen. Great job!

2024-11-05 12:01:34 +0000 UTCI like the more appropriate age gap and the total inappropriateness of this setting, it’s perfection! 😁 I feel like this has a bit more psychological depth to it. Like this dynamic has legs to grow. I like the duality of his feelings. Seeing much more of the light and dark in him. I mean he was a death eater who came to Hogwarts knowing more curses than a 6th year. Of course there’s some dark in there and it kinda fits with his pre-reform character. Also, I am just straight up loving a sexy baddie, with a deep soul. But then again in fantasy land I’d pick Phantom over Raoul, I’d take Spike over Angel, and I’d have stayed with Jared. And let’s face it they were all a little kidnappy and “let me love” you types. I’ve listened to this so many times. BF keeps asking what I’m grinning at. I’d love to know about their prewar dynamic too.
