While Faolan is an alleged Nephilim(not yet confirmed) or a third party we don't know anything about which gives him preternatural strength, using it on someone prior to knowing about their supernatural side is extremely detrimental since he acknowledges killing the gang member after punching him. Also, she didn't SA him. As Chandra has said before, A Selenae can't force another person to something they aren't willing to do already and Moira pointed out that exerting her will over another person would've drained her not to mention possibly frying his mind. Without the interruption, Faolan probably would've gone for the McPoundHer Combo Meal.
