FM23 "Increase-Realism"-Megapack MARCH EARLY-ACCESS UPDATE (24.02.23)

27.02.23
Quick information:
Hi everyone!
I'm currently struggling with the consequences of a covid-infection, so my ressources are even more limited as before. So I decided to cancel this months public release to have at least a couple of days off. This has no consequences for you. The only change I made for this month is, that the update is now also available for everyone who is a level 1 supporter.

The plan for the April-Update, which will be adjusted for the winter update remains unchanged:
- Alpha version 2-3 days after the winter update
- public release on 7th april

Cheers
David

24.02.23
Hello everyone!

The EARLY ACCESS version for March is ready!

As previously announced, the next 2 updates will be a bit "special" due to the upcoming final Football Manager winter patch.

I see this time of the year as an opportunity to try things out and, if they work, to continue to improve. More on that further down below;)

A total of 10 files were updated and a new one created.

Updated:

- Salaries Market Values & Sponsors

- Club finances fix

- Youth & Training facilities

- Citizenship fix

- Geographics & Languages

- Player attribute adjustments

- Alternative youth rating + game importance & others

- staff attribute adjustments (before: manager attribute adjustments)

- Italy league rules fixes (added Juves -15 point deduction

- Ticket price adjustments

New:

German II teams fix

For BETA-users:
There was only a slight boost for finances in England compared to the early-access version. that's all.

What exactly has changed?

Salaries Market Values & Sponsors:

This file was mainly adapted for the update of DaveTheEditor. All in all, adjustments were necessary in about 60 nations.

Club finances fix:

The finances of some larger clubs have been adjusted to be more in line with the current situation and to continue to behave realistically in long-term saves. (e.g. improved finances for Benfica Lisbon or Shakthar Donetsk)

Youth & training facilities:

Basically small changes. Only in Germany did I experiment a little more.

Player attribute adjustments:

In this file I test something new:
I noticed that a lot of player data in the database is empty.
This isn't a bad thing in itself, since the game then calculates relatively realistic values. From my point of view, however, this is rather counterproductive in an area for young players. With the hidden attribute "consistency":

Many talents have a value of "0" there. This means that any value between 1-20 is possible.

In my opinion, however, there should primarily be values between 6-10. (Research should enter lower values if a player is very inconsistent as well as much higher value if he's very consistent). That's why all young players with a "0" now have a "-2" at consistency. This generates a value between 6-10. First tests were very promising.

Staff attributes adjustments:

This file has been renamed as it is now not only limited to managers but also affects sport directors.

Basically, 2 tendencies were increased in this update:

1. Coaches should focus more on younger players in unimportant competitions

2. Sport directors should have a slightly higher tendency to loan/loan players

These two factors should improve the transfer behavior and squad management of the AI.

Both changes were made for over 5000 staff members worldwide.

German II teams fix:

This month I concentrated heavily on Germany and its lower leagues (available with league mods up to the Oberliga or even the Verbandsliga).

In my opinion there are basically 3 problems:

1. The II teams of 1st and 2nd-division clubs dominate the 3rd division after 5-6 years and after about 8 years there are often 8-10 II teams in the 3rd division.

2. Lower league clubs strength drops too much. (Which at least partly explains the problem in point 1)

3. Unlike in real life, the best German newgens are generated almost exclusively by first + second division clubs. After a short research, I noticed that quite a considerable part took their first steps with a third division or even regional division and then either moved early to a bigger club or worked their way up step by step.

I was able to reduce problem 1 (10 comparative tests carried out) by about 50%. On average, in 2030 there are "only" 4 II teams in the third division instead of 9. Once there were only 2 and a maximum of 6. So I am able to say that the issue is definetly lower. Of course there might be save-games where more II teams play in the 3rd division, it just happends much less frequently.

Problem 2 and 3 have also been improved as much as possible.
A new save-game in the lowlands of German football is definitely worth it ;)

Otherwise, as always, minor improvements were made where necessary.

That would be roughly the changes for this month!

As already mentioned, this update will not yet be optimized for the winter update, as this will probably not be released until the end of February. At the moment I am also continue testing the new files from DaveTheEditor. So there may still be further adjustments made during this month.

As always, all files are in the download link, so delete all previous files first!

Enjoy!

Cheers
David
