Was planning on posting a WIP update today but I got carried away and ended up finishing it. Waiting for approval from the client as there might be some last minute changes. But next post should have the finalized animation.
Since I still wanted to make a post I figured I'd show some of my practice. getting fluids to work in studio is a major pain if not entirely impossible. So I've been experimenting with particle simulation combinations. Adjusting the materials in material editor as well as editing the particles using component utils creates a decently convincing effect.
The question is if I can get it to place nicely with a more complicated animation. I'm not sure if there's a way to specifically timeline the particle simulations so I'd have to be clever about how I spawn them in since they're likely to be running the entire time the animation is on, just invisible.
But I'm happy with the results thus far.
Let me know if you guys are interest in me posting my practices and studies from time to time whenever I come across anything interesting. This isn't something I plan on turning into a full work but it's good for figuring out stuff.
