IT'S ME!!! 👽👽👽

Some (most??) of you might know that my partner Gannon is a drag queen and we put a lot of time and effort into making looks for miss Vanity Chastain, but I haven't really mentioned that I'm ALSO dipping my toes into drag! I'm going for more Funny Cartoon Alien Man than pure Drag King aesthetic, but I think it still counts???? His name is Dr. Bug 👽🐜✨.

We've been working for MONTHS to put together a funny Kickstarter video for the upcoming RR Chapter 1 book crowdfunding campaign, and we've finally, FINALLY made it to the video/recording section of the project. Because we live in an apartment with limited space, we had to break up our script into separate shooting days, and we shot all of my parts last night!

This was the culmination of lots of different, smaller projects. We both made our own costumes, learning how to make patterns and sew for Gannon's outfit, and craft with eva foam for mine. Gannon styled both of our wigs, and did both of our makeup. We made the whole set out of cardboard boxes. We figured out lighting and sound. EVERYTHING. It took way too long, but we had lots of fun and we learned like 10 new skills.

So, we're ALMOST DONE. We have to shoot Vanity's parts and edit the video, which will hopefully happen before the end of this week!

As for the Kickstarter/crowdfunding campaign itself, I'm hoping to launch before the end of the month, but we'll see! No hard date yet. I'll keep you all updated with any new info. But in any case, it will happen VERY SOON, which is a BIG RELIEF TO ME.
