RR "Subway???" illustration WIP #1
Added 2022-03-07 22:17:17 +0000 UTCLast month was all about pinups and this month I wanted to try banging out a few different RR illustrations. For this one, I'm trying to merge a heavy, scratchy inking style with some moody, color-intense lighting. I was heavily inspired by these two images in my reference folder:
Right now it's leaning pretty heavily towards that first reference pic, so we'll see if I can skew it a little more original in the inks and colors. I'm totally NOT against having recognizable reference points as long as it's not a one for one replica. Sometimes you just see a picture and get super inspired and want to make something very similar! It happens!
I also thought it would be funny to do some art of Andy looking extra-extra scary, which is probably how he really looks to everyone except for Rob.
So, we'll see how it turns out! :Vb
