What's been cooking?

I've hit 50k words out of a planned 150k on the 4th arc. For reference, the previous 3 arcs have all clocked in around 80k words, give or take a bit.
Not only is each chapter in this next installment a fair bit longer than the previous ones, I also bumped up the length to a planned 60 chapters vs. the 40-50 in the previous arcs. Arc 1 saw each chapter clock in at about 1700-1800 words. Mostly just to test the waters of Royal Road and find my feet with serial writing.
Arcs 2 and 3 both had chapters coming in around 2000 words.
Arc 4 will have chapters in the 2250-2500 range. I don't think I'll be going any higher than that for a whole bunch of reasons that aren't super important. It's a good length, and I'll be sticking with it.
Overall, I'm really excited for Arc 4. Lots of cool stuff is happening and a bunch of things I've been itching to get to/laying the groundwork for are finally going to happen.
I'm having fun writing it, and I hope you'll all enjoy reading it as a result.
