I was just about to do this and also nerdy Nami isn't necessarily a weak fighter outside of Robin she has been a actual pirate longer than aanyone else she is just a coward

Yea, i get that argument. Wasn't calling you out or anything, just an observation on my part :) Weirdly, I think the younger audience actually makes handling of those matters more important though. I am older now too, but I was a teen once. Scenes like that DEFINITELY made an impression, lol, but there is barely anyone reacting that actually sets a healthy example on how to handle those feelings. That worries me in general, on the whole of youtube. Not that it's the job of influencers to provide that, but it would be cool to have.
That said, I definitely get wanting to be safe in that regard, it's a very valid concern. :) So keep doing you, that works! It' the reason I get to ramble here after all

Honestly that's a decent point. Why not take the opportunity to Research

I mean, there is definitely a double standard. No one is gonna call a woman a creep for that, but I'm a 32 year old man. If I started making comments about how hot an 18 year old characters was all the time I would develop a reputation real quick 😂 I also think audience matters. One Piece feels geared towards a much more all ages audience than something like Chainsaw man

Exactly, I’d say this is where One Piece turns more “fan-service-y” for better or worse

I totally understand if someone is bothered, but I wonder why it's mostly guys that take issue with it 😂 Probably depends a lot on the bubbles they grew up in. Might be a "no no no I don't find this sexy/fun at all" reaction because usually they got negative reactions if they express those feelings?
Ah well, who knows. I am just here for funny cartoon and compelling theater-man

That's quite interesting. I'm a woman and I also find it entertaining. I'm not bothered by the fan service at all. 🤔😄

I'm also a theater kid. I feel you. I'm constantly singing as well. My little kids keep telling me to stop. xD

To be fair, there's good fanservice and bad fanservice. OP tends to lean quite heavily on the bad, like in this episode.

Also this scene among many, many others is why there's a portion of us that are convinced Nami is a lesbian (and I never, EVER speculate on character sexualities, but Oda's pretty queer friendly minus... *the one thing*)

Remember OP's target audience is aimed for adolescent boys. Fan service is part of the genre.

Yeah, Kalifa's trying out a new toy on an enemy who poses no real threat to her (as far as she knows). It's no fun if she kills Nami right away with the power and skills she's always had.

Think of this from Kalifa's perspective. If you just got a shiny new devil fruit power, wouldn't you want to try it out? She's playing with Nami, who she deems to be weaker. She doesn't feel threatened, so she's taking her time trying out new moves. If Kalifa just ended Nami immediately, she'd lose an opportunity to explore her powers against an opponent and would end up being kind of bored.

I always found that bubble fight mostly hilarious. Especially Nami being like "Wow she is so sexy. WAIT I am not a middle aged man!"
I watch way too mayn reactions of One Piece, and one fun thing I noticed about the fanservice is that 90% of the female reactors I watch enjoy it, laugh about it or are like "hello!", meanwhile most of the guys are like "oh no, cannot depict women like that". It's amazingly funny to me
