Firstly, let me apologise for not posting one of these in September; I did plan to do so, but for some unknown reason, Patreon stopped sending me a 2 Factor code via text, so I could not log in to my account for about a week.
A few days ago, I had a question from one of the users about what happens with all the donations given to me via Patreon. Instead of answering the question to him in private, I would answer it in a post so that everyone knows what happens with the donation that you all kindly give me.
Since moving the guide from STEP to its website, I have been giving Evertrio $30 per month (via Patreon) to cover what he does in maintaining the guide. He asked me to stop sending via Patreon a few weeks ago because they took a relatively large cut and use Paypal instead. Not wanting Evertiro to be out of pocket, we came to an agreement that I would increase my monthly contributions to him to $130. This payment would cover the monthly maintenance he does to improve the site and his expenses for the server bandwidth usage, which fluctuates from month to month.
So I now pay most of the server costs to Evertrio, and what is left sits in what I affectingly call The War Chest. So, what you guys give me pays 100% for maintaining the website.
Hopefully, that answers that question.
What plans are in the pipeline?
I have a few ideas rattling around my head that I am not ready to share yet, but most, if not all, of you will be pleased with. As for now, I will continue to iron out issues discovered since the Audit in July.
In August, we implemented a forum-based help desk, which helped streamline the help desk process.
