Another month has been and gone so that means it time for Lexy's monthly waffle. 

This month has actually been a very quiet month due to the summer holidays here in the sunny UK, so very little guide maintenance has been done 'cos of this. 

Shadriss has started his overhaul of the Nexus version of the guide, making it clear and hopefully easier to follow. So far he has completed "Page One: Introduction and Prerequisites" and "Page Three: The Merge Page". All other pages will be looked at in time.

The STEP Version is a different story - I now have access to the new site, which is a closed beta, and have begun to investigate that a bit further. However I might just say screw it and go with only one version of the guide.

Over on Discord there has been a number of staffing changes; Diana has decided to take a step back due to health reasons and Buddykidd has kindly stepped in as a new Admin. I wish Diana a speedy recovery. I drafted two new help-desk-minion users  HollowHerald and SheWildWolf who were both doing a wonderful job in the help desk, so I decided to make it official much to their surprise. Good luck to you both. I have also promoted Shadriss to moderator. 

"When will the next guide update be released?" I hear you cry. Well, my kids don't go back to school until September the 4th, so my plan is to start looking at stuff and getting back to work then. Buddykidd has been kindly and tirelessly keeping the Trello guide maintenance board up to date so, finger crossed, it won't be too painful. Be prepared for a fairly large update.

My own playthrough will likely start again, as there are a number of mods I wish to test but need a new game to start. I was waiting for LOTD V5 to be released before I restarted, but that has been delayed again so I have decided not to wait until that releases to test the new mods on my list.

One more personal bit of news: during this month my phone line and thus internet kept disconnecting which means I had no internet or phone what so ever. We have been on to our provider and they have fixed the issue, hopefully. They also agreed to upgrade us to Fiber at no extra cost which means I will have faster broadband very soon.
