Disable extra CPU cores
Added 2025-06-27 21:34:15 +0000 UTCcpu_affinity — a command that allows you to manage CPU load distribution across threads. It can be useful for forcibly disabling efficiency cores (see the FPS boost example in the screenshot).
Recommended cpu_affinity values:
i5-12600K / i5-12600KF / i5-13400 / i5-13500 / i5-13600K / i5-13600KF / i5-14600K / i5-14600KF
cpu_affinity 0-11
i7-12700K / i7-12700KF / i9-12900K / i9-12900KF / i7-13700K / i7-13700KF / i9-13900K / i9-13900KF / i7-14700K / i7-14700KF / i9-14900K / i9-14900KF
cpu_affinity 0-15
IMPORTANT! If you're using a mobile/server CPU with efficiency cores, check its core layout. In some cases, efficiency cores are listed first, so using cpu_affinity 0-X could kill your FPS.
For all other CPUs (including all AMD Ryzen models), you only need to enable the "automatic CPU affinity" option in the settings. There’s no need to manually set affinity.
